Big Trojan comeback falls short in double OT
The prospects of a season sweep for the Turkey Valley boys over South Winn looked so good on so many occasions late in the game between the large division Warriors and the small division Trojans Tuesday. But each time the TV boys found some momentum, the Warriors had an answer. It took a double overtime for South Winn to eke out a win, 82-78. Early in the game was a different story. A South Winn shot near the half-court line at the first-quarter buzzer put the Warriors up 19-10. “South Winn shot lights out to start the game and we were out of position and gave up to many good looks to start the game,” said coach Chris Sullivan. “On offense we didn't do a good job of attacking their 1-2-2 and didn't get the ball to the short corner enough.” The rest of the story may be found in the Feb. 10 Tribune.
