Alta Vista man dies after his truck overturns

An Alta Vista man was remembered for his willingness to serve his community and his neighbors this week after he died Monday morning when a cement truck he was driving rolled into a ditch along a Chickasaw County road.James “J” Olsen was 40.“He was the kind of guy who was always doing anything for anybody,” said Jim Geerts, the acting chief of the Alta Vista Fire Department which counted Olsen as a member. “It’s been a tough couple of days for us as a department.”For the compete story see the 9/30/2016 New Hampton Tribune.
