New Hampton Rotary Club members weren’t quite sure what to expect last Thursday night.

Edna A. Koleno, age 83, of New Hampton, IA passed away at MercyOne North Iowa in Mason City on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 with her family by her side.

Loren Eugene Havens age 33 of Waukon, IA formerly of Fredericksburg, IA died Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at his home.

The New Hampton junior varsity girls basketball team’s winning streak reached three straight after they defeated Waukon, Charles City and Waterloo Columbus at the beginning of December to move them to 3-1 overall on the season.

Dale E. Meirick, age 88, of Alta Vista, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020 at New Hampton Nursing and Rehab with his family by his side.

Turkey Valley fans knew the very small losing streak by their girls’ team wasn’t going to last long. 

With wins over Postville Friday and Riceville Saturday, the Turkey Valley boys — at 14-3 — have the best overall record in the Upper Iowa conference.
