Michael Kennedy virtually stood before the members of the New Hampton High School Class of 2020, and took a moment to talk to them last Tuesday night.

Gov. Kim Reynolds announced a sweeping new round of “re-openings,” as movie theaters, zoos, aquariums, wedding reception venues will all allowed to reopen Friday.

The handiwork of two New Hampton sisters can be found on the faces of folks both in New Hampton and elsewhere. And we mean like all over the country.

Elsie Ludwig, 97, a longtime resident of Elma died Friday, May 15th at Afton Oaks Assisted Living Center in Elma, IA.

Gertrude J. Houser, age 95, of New Hampton, formerly of North Washington, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at New Hampton Nursing and Rehab with her family by her side. 

Savannah Anderson, if she had to guess, worked on the video that lasts a mere 194 seconds for eight to 10 hours.

Eunice Catherine Stockdale, mother of Cindy (Brian) Moore,  passed away on May 15, 2020, at the age of 90. The daughter of Edward and Hulda Brandau, she was born on August 28, 1929, in rural Rudd, Iowa.

Frances "Francie" Ruth Crawford age 69 of Fredericksburg, IA, died Saturday, May 16, 2020, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.
