Ivan Lee Johnson, age 82 of Ionia, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, at Mayo Clinics in Rochester, Minnesota.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, at Republic Community Church in rural Ionia. 

Robert “Bob” Volker, age 71 of New Hampton, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, at New Hampton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Norbert Charles Shileny, age 86 of New Hampton and formerly of Lawler, a retired farmer and John Deere worker, passed away peacefully at the Sumner Hospital on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019. 

Beryl Sjobakken, age 94 of New Hampton, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at the Patty Elwood Center in Cresco.
A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Main Street business owners and New Horizons-Chamber Director Jason Speltz made a pitch to the New Hampton City Council to loosen the city code that gives them very little space to display their wares outside their stores.
