This much is known: Sooner or later, New Hampton’s dog pound needs to find a new home.
When and where, though, remain up in the air.
It wasn’t exactly “crickets” Monday evening at the New Hampton School Board’s public hearing on its max levy, but it was pretty dang quiet.
The Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors agreed on Monday to cut a little from the max levy rates for two of the three funds it controls.
Brock Schmidt touched so many lives during his all-too-short time on this Earth.

Here’s a quick summary of how Monday’s National History Day regional competition went for Nashua-Plainfield: Different location; same success.

It was the morning of Sunday, March 16, and Brock Schmidt sat at one of the desks in the office at the Chickasaw County EMS station.
New Hampton held its annual Parade of Bands concert on Monday night.
The event had a “food theme,” one that included a program that looked very much like a menu, and although food wasn’t available, the music was pretty delicious.
