We’re just a week away from decision

Voters are down to seven days to come up with their choices for the election.That’s right, an election cycle that literally started years ago is almost complete, and the latest polls show Iowa is still up for grabs when it comes to the presidential race between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton.Locally, there are a number of contested races — including three Chickasaw County supervisor seats, as well as the two seats the two seats that represent Chickasaw County in the Iowa Legislature.For those who want to vote early, the Chickasaw County Auditor’s Office will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 to 5 p.m. this Saturday.As of Monday morning, 2,404 voters have cast early ballots.
