Al Frost has coached Plainfield and Nashua-Plainfield teams to 381 dual victories during his long career. But he experienced a first last Thursday night when his Huskies won a dual meet without winning a match on the mat. “That, I’m 99.999 percent sure, has never happened before,” Frost said of his team’s 42-41 victory over Riceville in a meet in which Nashua-Plainfield scored all of its points via forfeits. Riceville won all five matches contested on the mat, but because Tristen Brase was able to stay off his back at 132 pounds, the Huskies managed to come away with their lone win in a quadrangular. The Huskies also lost to Rockford 52-28 and were soundly beaten by St. Ansgar 60-24 in their last home appearance of the regular season.
