Meet the Team Night set for tonight

Winter unofficially arrives on Friday night when New Hampton High School will hold its annual Meet the Team Night for its basketball and wrestling teams.  This year’s event will have an admission charge but it goes to a good cause as the Letterman Club is conducting a canned food drive for the Chickasaw Food Pantry.  The Chickasaw Booster Club will kick off the event with a fundraising meal that runs from 4 to 8 p.m. in the gym lobby.  Cost of the meal is $6 and the menu includes a pork sandwich, chips, pickle, cookie and a drink.  The Booster Club will also have a clothing flyer available and all orders are due by Nov. 28.  The schedule for the teams is as follows:  5 to 5:45 p.m.: Freshman versus JV girls basketball.  5:30 to 6:15 p.m.: Wrestling practice at the Chickasaw Wellness Complex.  5:55 to 6:40 p.m.: Varsity girls basketball scrimmage.  6:50 to 7:35 p.m.: Freshman versus JV boys basketball.  7:45 to 8:30 p.m.: Varsity boys scrimmage.
