Lonnie Oehler, 57, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, August 20, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn. He was born January 6, 1959 in Cedar Falls, the son of Vernon and Mary Lea ( Campbell) Oehler. He married Tami Barnett May 3, 1986 and they were later divorced. Lonnie graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1978. He worked for Viking Pump. Lonnie loved the Hawkeyes and Packers, enjoyed his nieces and nephews and spending time with all his loved ones and friends. Lonnie was an active volunteer with Cedar Valley Hospice.He is survived by one daughter, Tiana Oehler, of Waterloo; three sisters, Peggy Fuller, of Waterloo, Laurie Trager, and Connie Oehler, both of Cedar Falls; one brother, David Oehler, of Carlisle, Iowa; his partner, Nancy Franzen, of New Hampton and her children and grandson.He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Stephen Oehler.Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 at St Patrick's Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 26 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with a 7 p.m. scripture service. Visitation will also be  one hour before services at the church on Saturday.
