Whole lot of power!

Hawkeye Community College student Morgan Fleming, age 19, has a very different summer than most students - she takes to the track to do some truck pulling.Fleming is a third generation puller with both her grandpa and dad pulling before her and her brother, Tony, age 16, joining her on the track this year.Pulling with her own two wheel drive truck, In 2 Deep, Fleming said she grew up around pulling her whole life with her grandpa starting when he was nine and her father starting when he was 16, so it just made sense for her to begin getting involved. This is Morgan’s fourth year pulling.The family is from Lamont but travels throughout Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Ohio to pulls.Fleming said she loves the adrenaline rush and while she didn’t do well on Friday night — even having her brother beat her —  there is always tomorrow [Saturday] night.“I love that the whole family does it together,” said Fleming about the travel and sport. “We bring all the family on the road.”For the complete story see the 7/19/2016 New Hampton Tribune.
