Wayne 'Bo' Gorman, 65

Wayne "Bo" Gorman age 65 of New Hampton, IA died Monday, February 18, 2019, at his home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Holy Family Parish in New Hampton with Msgr. Carl Schmitt celebrating the Mass. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in New Hampton with Chris Gorman, Brice Schissel, Jason Gilbert, Chris Hovey, Dan Venem, Alan Gilbert and Cody Gorman serving as pallbearers.
Friends may greet the family from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019, at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory in New Hampton where there will be a 7:00 p.m. Parish Scriptural Service. Wayne Joseph Gorman was born February 4, 1954, in New Hampton, IA, the son of Donald and Lorna (Rosonke) Gorman. He attended St. Joseph’s school in New Hampton and was a 1972 graduate from New Hampton High School.
After high school, he worked at Sara Lee for a few years before going to work at Tri-Mark. After that, he went to work for what is now Pro Build in New Hampton. He worked there for many years and really enjoyed his job. He joked about retirement, but everyone knew he would never stop working because he liked his job and the people he worked with.
In Bo’s younger years he really appreciated the outdoors. He would go camping and fishing quite often with different members of his family. You could often catch him cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs or watching a NASCAR race. He also liked to play cards. Bo always went to his mother’s house to help her out. She often had a list of things for him to do, ranging from changing a light bulb to getting groceries for her. He will be remembered by his nieces and nephews for always giving them a hard time.
Bo is survived by his mother, Lorna Gorman of New Hampton, IA; three brothers, Gary (Julie) Gorman of New Hampton, IA, Curtis (Andrea) Gorman of Huntersville, NC, Dave Gorman of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Ruth (Alan) Gilbert of Ionia, IA; three nephews, Jason Gilbert, Chris (Whitney) Gorman, Cody Gorman; five nieces, Jenny (Chris) Hovey, Christine (Dan) Venem, Debbie (Brice) Schissel, Emily Gorman, Kelly Nearhood; five great-nephews, Owen, Elliott and Brayton Hovey, Ashton and Kale Venem.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Gorman; one brother, Gene Gorman.
