Water everywhere!
Don’t get Nashua Mayor Angie Dietz wrong, she would have done anything to see her city spared the storms that struck the area with a vengeance last week. But the flooding and storm damage that hit the Nashua also, she believes, says something about the people who call the area home.“It’s been a crazy week,” she said, “but at the same time, I am so proud of the people of Nashua and this area. In a heartbeat, they came together to help their neighbors with no question — except for ‘what can I do?’— asked.”Rain began falling early last Wednesday evening and when it finally stopped the next morning, Nashua had received, according to the National Weather Service 7.55 inches of rain. But some residents in and around the city reported more than 10 inches of rain, and numerous roads were covered with water and numerous basements — even some on so-called “high ground” — filled with water. For the complete story see the 9/29/2016 Nashua Reporter.
