Trojans rally past Central, fall to Vikes

The term free throw is a bit of a misnomer, as they're not free and, in fact, at times the shots are very hard to sink.  Although Turkey Valley's boys won their first game of the season, they did so with a paltry 13 percent at the line, but their charity stripe effort in the second game was a complete turnaround.  In a 61-46 win over Central of Elkader Friday, the effort vaulted to 87 percent. The Trojan boys earned 13 points in their 15 attempts, a much-needed cushion in the 15-point win.  But Central did lead 17-14 after a quarter.  We got off to a slow start, we seemed a step slow on the defensive end and didn't finish well, but we were happy the way the kids closed the half," said head coach Chris Sullivan.  The rest of the story may be found in the Dec. 6 Tribune.
