St. John Lutheran Church holds town hall meeting

St. John Lutheran Church hosted a Town Hall meeting about the underage drinking and drug problem in Nashua and Chickasaw County. Members of the Nashua Police Department and St. John Lutheran Church attended this meeting and numbers were not at all what they were expecting.The meeting was a chance for everyone in the community to come out and learn about the underage drinking and drug problem in the Nashua area - since it takes a village to raise a child. Attendees where shown different ways to hide alcohol and different drugs without anyone thinking twice from hats, markers and belt buckles. Broccoli even came up in the discussion since this is one of the new terms for marijuana.Drugs have trends just like clothing and music. The newest drug trends, like clothing, can be bought at any mall in the area from hats to shoes. Drug paraphernalia has also changed through the years and teenagers can hide drugs in jewelry or even cans which look like regular pop cans.For the complete story see the 10/13/2016 Nashua Reporter.
