From rough to gemstone: the rehabbing of Garnant Park

Rick Kramer and Brian Quirk stood at Garnant Park one day recently and had vastly different answers to the same question.When the work on giving the park on New Hampton’s southeast side a new look began three years ago this month, did they ever imagine it would look like this.“Never, honestly never,” said Kramer, the Parks and Recreation director whose department oversees the park. “I thought it would look better, but never did I dream it would be this nice.”— For more on this story, see the Aug. 7 New Hampton Tribune.
