Police get support for body cameras

New Hampton Police Sgt. Steve Stalder doesn’t want to date himself, but he does remember when officers were excited that they received hand-held tape recorders.“That was a big deal back in the day,” he said with a laugh, “and then you look what we have today, it’s pretty amazing how technology has changed our jobs.”As he talked, he did so with a body camera attached to his uniform, and Stalder is not the only New Hampton police officer who has another piece of equipment on his uniform.For the complete story see the 10/278/2016 New Hampton Tribune.
