Ronnie Lewis Carey, 56
Ronnie Lewis Carey, age 56 of Nashua, died Dec. 16, 2021, at the Omaha Veterans Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory -- Olson Chapel in Nashua.
Friends may greet the family from 4 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory -- Olson Chapel in Nashua. Ronnie was born Sept. 12, 1965, the son of father Roy Lewis Carey of Ionia, mother Gloria Mincks, and husband Lanny Mincks of Charles City. Ronnie attended and graduated from Charles City. After graduation, he worked for Comprehensive Systems for several years along with other jobs. Ronnie was currently employed at Zoetis in Charles City.
Ronnie and Judy Feltz had three sons; Dominick, Bryce, and Tyler. Ron’s favorite pastime activities were time spent with family, going fishing, going kart racing, and watching his two youngest sons race or just being at the race track. Ronnie’s favorite treat to eat was Reese’s peanut butter cups. He also loved watching football and NASCAR racing.
Ron was very much loved and respected by his family and will be very much missed.
Ronnie is survived by his three sons, Dominick Carey, Bryce Carey, and Tyler Carey, all of Nashua; their mother, Judy Feltz of New Hampton; parents, Roy Lewis Carey, Gloria Mincks; two brothers, David Carey of Charles City, LaVern Carey of Ionia; two sisters, Tenna Carey of Charles City, Kimberly Carey of Charles City, daughter of Lanny Mincks, Misty Tucker of Charles City; along with nieces and nephews and three great-niece and nephews.
