The Lawler Public Library has a new and much “bigger” look these days.

The Nashua-Plainfield School Board Wednesday voted to reduce the district’s 2024-25 budget by almost $500,000 during a 2 1/2 -hour meeting that turned emotional at times.
Since he first became a United States senator in 1981, Charles Grassley has conducted his “99-county tour” of Iowa each and every year.
For those who needed a civics lesson, the Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors provided one on Monday morning.
