Lady Trojans score first UIC win

    Turkey Valley volleyball took another one of those baby steps Monday. Their fifth win of the season was their first victory against an Upper Iowa Conference opponent as they defeated Postville 3-1.      The Pirates have yet to win a match this season, and Turkey Valley wasn’t about to be the first, although they did lose the first set 25-21.      “We started out a little slow and had an injury in the first game so Morgen Kuennen was out for the next three games,” said coach Tammy Vrzak. “We switched a few positions to cover Morgen's spot and the girls came together fantastically to go for the win.”  The rest of the story may be found in the Sept. 30 Tribune.
