Huskies improving, but coach wants to see more consistency

Don’t get Al Frost wrong, the veteran Nashua-Plainfield coach likes the path his team is traveling.
“We’re definitely improving,” he said after the Huskies went 2-1 at a triangular in Sumner last Tuesday and then finished third in the seventh-place bracket at the Battle of Waterloo over the weekend. “Our guys — especially some of our younger guys — are showing me some pretty doggone nice things out there on the mat.”
But …
“I’d kill for some consistency,” he said. “We have some days that are really good — Friday at the Battle, for instance — and then we turn around and have a Saturday where I’m wondering if they’re the same boys. But again, we’re getting there.”
At Sumner, the Huskies hammered West Fork 78-6 to start the night and ended it with a tough 45-29 loss to the host Cougars. In between, they wrestled a classic with Hampton-Dumont.
