Huskies bounce back with win over Newman

There’s a fine line when it comes to volleyball serving.Be too conservative and an opponent has an easy time setting up its offense; be too aggressive and an opponent can pick up an easy point with a service error.Nashua-Plainfield found the perfect balance last week in a 25-16, 25-7, 25-12 Top of Iowa Conference East Division win over Mason City Newman.The Huskies went 68-for-73, a very respectable 93.2 percent, from the service line and served up 17 aces.“What we like to do is start with a timeout serve, which is basically make sure we’re putting it in play,” Nashua-Plainfield coach Amber Carter said, “and then as we get points, get more aggressive. We did that really well that night.”Sierra Fisher led the serving barrage, going 19-for-21 with nine aces.
