How quickly the tides turn

Lead Summary

The momentum that New Hampton had after an opening-set win over Osage Tuesday night did not carry into the second set.    How quickly it shifted left fans shaking their heads. A little over halfway through the first set New Hampton was pounding the host Green Devils 17-4 and would go on to a 25-9 win.    But after the teams switched sides it was Osage that took a 19-3 lead and rolled to a 25-10 win. Some hoped that getting the Chickasaws back to that lucky side would turn the tide again, but the Green Devils won the third set 25-13.    The fourth set was the closest of the match. New Hampton kept it tight with a Mya Anderson kill and they added a point when Osage hit the ball out for an 8-6 Green Devil lead, but when Osage’s  Kelsey Havel knocked down two straight aces, the NH girls trailed 13-7.For the rest of the story, please see the Oct. 28 Tribune.
