Rogers, age 81 of Mason City and formerly of Fredericksburg and New Hampton, died Thursday, March 22, 2018, at The Good Shepherd Health Center.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday March 28, 2018, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 120 1st St. NE in Mason City, with Rev. Canon Elliot Blackburn officiating.Visitation will take place one hour prior to the start of the service. Memorials may be directed to Community Kitchen or Meals on Wheels, 606 N Monroe Ave.Online condolences may be left for the family at www.majorericksonfuneralhome.com.George Henry Rogers was born on Nov. 14, 1936, in Fayette, to Austin and Gladys (Schlatter) Rogers.He grew up in Fredericksburg and graduated from high school there in 1955.George married Donna Briggs on Aug. 8, 1958, in Nashua at the Little Brown Church.He worked at Meinerz Creamery/Beatrice Foods for over 40 years.After his retirement, he and his wife moved to Mason City. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and volunteered for several years for Community Kitchen and Meals on Wheels.George is survived by his wife, Donna, Mason City; his three children, Lori (Ron) Anderson, Dodge Center, Minn., Timothy (Karen) Rogers, Le Mars, and Todd (Angela) Rogers, Mediapolis; nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Heather, Benjamin, Molly, Caitlin, Adam, Derek, Tyler, and Mackenzie; six great-grandchildren, Peyton, Meyson, Alexis, Graham, Isabella, and Oscar; his sister, Dorothy (Raymond) Harrison; two brothers, Bob (Florence) Rogers and Paul (Darlys) Rogers; and two sisters-in-law, Wanda Rogers and Gloria Rogers.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ronald and Gerald.Arrangements are with Major Erickson Funeral Home & Crematory, 111 N.
