Frank graduated from New Hampton High School in 1971.
After attending two years at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Frank began work as a sales consultant at Duroe’s Incorporated in Charles City. He quickly became known throughout the city and surrounding areas as a very good salesman and an even better friend.
In 1984, Frank moved to California with his mother and youngest sister, taking his leadership knowledge of sales, devout customer following and friendships with him.
Frank married Sandy (Weaver) Goodale on 24 July 1993. They were married 27 years, during which two beautiful daughters and Frank’s pride and joy were born.
Frank “Goodie” worked as an exceptional sales consultant for 46 years, 40 of which were in southern California. “Goodie” earned a huge customer base that followed him everywhere he worked. He nurtured many, many wonderful friends along the way.

Frank enjoyed woodworking, building, classic cars, entertaining guests, spending time with his family and friends, and traveling. He especially liked to go visit friends and family. He loved being on the ocean, visiting beaches, taking cruises with his family, and most of all flying.
He loved his family fiercely and was a devout Roman Catholic throughout his life. Frank “Goodie” had an extremely engaging personality, gathering friends from all over.
Every person he met was an instant friend. He was known for his quick wit and was even quicker to lend a helping hand.

The man had a gift of storytelling, if you weren’t listening to his story, then he was raptly listening to you tell yours.
Frank was a great many things to all who knew him, including mentor, leader, instigator of practical jokes ... and always a friend to all.
Frank is survived by his wife, Sandy; his beloved daughters, Stacy Goodale of California and Ash Goodale of Missouri, his favorite brother, Bernard “Bernie” (Cindy) Goodale; his loving sisters Marilyn (Gary) Klobassa of Iowa, and Sharon Sharp of California; and his beloved nephews, their wives, his adored great-nieces and great-nephews, and many wonderful and beloved in-laws, cousins and friends all across America.
