February school vote looks likely

New Hampton Community School voters will in all likelihood head back to the polls early next year to decide if the district will build a new middle school.Superintendent Jay Jurrens told the School Board on Monday that a committee of community members has settled on a final design for a new building that would be constructed just to the west of the current high school.The $19 million project would also include a new 4,000-square-foot industrial and agriculture technology wing for the high school.“”One of the things I’m most impressed with is that we’ve had broad input on the plan,” Jurrens told board members. “This committee has worked hard to listen to the community.”For the complete story see the 11/25/2016 New Hampton Tribune.
