Enjoying all kinds of art

The fifth annual Plum Creek Art Festival took place this past Saturday with a variety of new and returning artists showing their work at the Fredericksburg Community Center.Plum Creek Art Center board member Cheryl Mulder said the morning was steady at the festival and she was happy to have three new vendors join the event.New vendor Morgan LaRue is from Ionia and currently a student that attends Upper Iowa University.She attended an art class at the Plum Creek Art Center in Fredericksburg some time ago, but instead of painting the picture given to them, she did her own thing and was noticed by the teacher.She now helps at the art center on Wednesday nights teaching a Teen Art Club for teens.For the complete story see the 7/12/2016 New Hampton Tribune.
