Donna Lee Johnston dies at 76

Donna Lee Johnston, 76 of Huntley, Ill. passed away on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017 following a lengthy illness.She was born Dec. 13, 1940 in Portsmouth, Ohio the daughter of Donald and Rosalie (McBrayer) McGohan. After going back to obtain her Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees, she was employed in the field of social work for many years. She also took pride in being a talented & accomplished artist, specializing in watercolor.She is survived by her husband, Ronald of Huntley; Children, Brian (Traci) Johnston of Round Lake Beach, Jeffrey (Kathi) Johnston of New Hampton, Melissa (Catherine) Johnston of Naperville and Kari Huffman of New Hampton; Grandchildren, Taylor, Teagan, Sheridan, Ian, Simon, Oliver and Kennedy, Siblings, James (Helen) McGohan of Northbrook and Margaret (William) Hafer of Frankfort; Sister-in-laws, Julie (Fred) Niehaus of Colo.and Jan (James) Gorska of Fla.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Mar. 11th at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, 10805 Main Street, Huntley. The family will greet friends at 10 a.m. and the will follow at 11 a.m. Please wear purple.
