Chickasaws take home 20-point win over TigerHawks

Lead Summary

Patience paid off for New Hampton's girls basketball team in their second win in as many games Monday, 57-37 at North Fayette Valley.    Even though the Chickasaw girls outscored their TigerHawk hosts in every quarter of the game, it wasn't until the second half that coach Matt Schult was happy with the way his team performed.    "We had a slow start, especially offensively, we took the first shot we could get," he said. “But then we settled in a little bit, we didn't rush and we tried to get the best shot we could. We relaxed and were more patient on offense. Our third quarter was pretty big for us."    A zone defense by the TigerHawks gave Emma Nicolaisen a chance to shine.   For the full story, please see the Dec. 2 Tribune.
