Charles E. Schuchhardt, age 81 of Unionville, Missouri, and formerly of New Hampton, died Monday, July 8, 2019, at LaVerna Senior Living in Savannah.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Becker-Milnes Funeral Home in Sumner, with a private family service to follow.
Inurnment will be held at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Sumner, for the family.

Charles Eugene, son of Walter and Leanor (Drewelow) Schuchhardt was born Oct. 13, 1937, in New Hampton.
He received his education in the New Hampton Schools, graduating from New Hampton High School in 1956.
On July 28, 1957, he was united in marriage with Valera Warnke at St. John Lutheran Church in Sumner. To this union six children — Brenda, Wanda, Kevin, Lonna, Curtis, and Kim — were born.
The family spent the majority of their life in the New Hampton area.
Charles worked for several companies but the majority of his working career was spent at Sara Lee in New Hampton.
Charles and Valera moved to Unionville, Missouri in 1998.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, but most especially enjoyed spending time with family.
Charles is survived by his wife, Valera of Saint Joseph, Missouri; five children, Brenda (Floyd) Elsbernd of Savannah, Missouri, Wanda (Gene) Flatjord of Jerico, Kevin (Christie) Schuchhardt of Nashua, Lonna (Justin) Bobst of Alexander, and Kim (Pat) O’Neill of Elma; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Betty Venem of Jesup, Larry Schuchhardt of Garner, Richard Schuchhardt of New Hampton, and Norman Schuchhardt of Cresco; two sisters-in-law, Verla Meyer and Barbara Haar; two brothers-in-law, Larry Warnke and Gerald Warnke; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Berdina Warnke and Leonhardt Warnke, he was preceded in death by his son, Curtis; grandson, Austin Erion; sister, Violet Jansson; brother, Harold Schuhhardt; sister-in-law, Elviera Niemeyer and dog, Abby.
