Barbara J. Hamilton dies at 72

       Barbara J. Hamilton, 72, of Clarksville, and formerly from Waverly passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Clarksville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clarksville.      Barbara (Bobbie Jo) Hamilton was born on August 3, 1944, the daughter of Wayne and Sue (Hendry) Hamilton in Waverly. Barb was baptized and confirmed at Trinity United Methodist Church in Waverly. She attended the Waverly School System and graduated from Waverly-Shell Rock High School in 1962. Barb then attended Pitze’s Beauty School in Waterloo. On February 15, 1964, she was united in marriage to Dean Calease at Trinity United Methodist Church. The couple started farming east of Clarksville and later moved to a farm north of Horton. In 1994, the couple moved back to Clarksville until 2002, when they divorced. Barb then moved to Waverly Homes in Waverly.      Barb was a current member of the Community Church in Clarksville and a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Waverly. Barb enjoyed the farm animals, especially the horses, and loved to go for walks with her children by the creek and in the woods.      Survivors are her three children and their families, Laura and Randy Orth, Susan, Joe and Otto Rieden, Derek, Charisse and Zeeva Orth, Dana Orth and Julie Orth; Tammy and Kenny Marks, Tiffany and Justin Schmall, Tara Marks and Tonya Marks; Roger Calease and Devin Calease; brother, Dr. John Hamilton of Scottsdale, Arizona; sister, Marilyn Laird of Santa Ana, California and several cousins, nieces and nephews, including Chuck Droste and Jane Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Gwen Bowden and Mary Sue Droste.      Bobbie Jo has been cremated and a memorial service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 1 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in Waverly,  with Pastor Carolyn Bowers officiating. Inurnment will be in the Harlington Cemetery in Waverly. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:30 am until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Unity Point Health Hospice and online condolences for Bobbie Jo may be left at www.kaisercorson.com.      Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home of Waverly is in charge of arrangements for Barbara “Bobbie Jo” Hamilton.  319-253-1187
