Cody Hackman earned UIC first team honors for the second straight year and was a three-time UIC pick at the end of the season.

Six earn all-UIC for TV baseball

Even though Cody Hackman played  catcher about as much as he was in centerfield, the Turkey Valley senior was named an Upper Iowa Conference first team outfielder for the 2017 season.
He was the only Trojan to land on the first team, but Evan Busta, Wyatt Blazek and Cale Reicks were listed as second teamers and Evan Drilling and Mason Goerend were honorable mention picks.
In conference games, Hackman’s batting average of .568 led the UIC among athletes with 10 or more at bats. He had 25 hits, which tied for second and was second in the league with a slugging percentage of .727.
