New Hampton Community Schools will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its $19.415 million building project at 4 p.m. on Monday.
The project will include the construction of a new middle school, competition gym and high school vocational agriculture and industrial technology center and is the result of voters approving a bond referendum this past February.
Monday’s ceremony will take place just to the west of the high school, where the new middle school will be built.
“We really hope to have a big crowd,” Superintendent Jay Jurrens said, “because this is something worth celebrating.”
