N-P shows potential in two wins
For Mason Hyde, the equation goes something like this: Two games = two dominating performances.
The Nashua-Plainfield senior tossed a three-hitter that included 13 strikeouts and just one walk to lead the Huskies to a 4-0 victory over Eagle Grove last Tuesday.
And he left is coach searching for the right words.
“Mason was … just … dominant,” Levi Miller said, “and I don’t think that really does it justice. He’s the kind of pitcher that whenever we put him out there, we have to believe we’re going to win. When he hits his spots and pounds the zone, he’s … well, he’s dominant.”
Hyde improved his record to 2-0, and thus far this season he has thrown 12 innings, given up five hits, walked three and struck out 23. Those, folks, are pretty good numbers.
