Levi Miller doesn’t like losing, doesn’t like it one bit.So 0-7 gnaws at him, but he also knows his Nashua-Plainfield baseball team is working the 2017 season with a short deck.A year after taking Class 1A powerhouse Don Bosco to the brink of elimination in the district tournament, the Huskies entered this season knowing that its top two pitchers — Mason Hyde and Alex Bienemann — wouldn’t be able to take the mound because of injuries — and that one of its top outfielders transferred.“We’ve got a lot of guys in a lot different roles than we imagined they’d be in last year,” Miller said after his team lost games to Central Springs, St. Ansgar, Osage and North Butler, “but I’ll say it until they prove me wrong — we have the potential to be a dangerous team before all this is over.”And he does see progress.After suffering a 13-3 loss to Central Springs and a 19-4 shellacking at the hands of St. Ansgar, Nashua-Plainfield played its best two games of the young season.
