TV boys win back-to-back conference titles

It didn’t come easy, especially after early season losses in Upper Iowa Conference play to North Fayette Valley and South Winneshiek, but the Turkey Valley boys basketball team bounced back and concluded the conference schedule by winning nine consecutive games to claim back-to-back UIC championships during the 2018-2019 campaign.
“It was nice to come back and repeat as conference champs,” said junior at the time Ethan Leibold. “We knew we needed to get help from other teams, take care of business ourselves and hope for the best, and it all played out.”
The defeat to North Fayette Valley came in the season-opener by a score of 54-41, and they fell in the final game before Christmas break to South Winn 59-47.
