Trojans wrap up regular season
The Turkey Valley baseball team concluded regular season play last Monday, as they faced both West Fork and Kee High in a tournament at their home field in Jackson Junction.
West Fork entered with a record of 19-5, much better than the Trojans 4-22.
However, Turkey Valley managed to keep the Warhawks in check for most of the game.
The first inning was crucial for West Fork, as they plated four of their six total runs in this opening frame. Turkey Valley would get their lone score in the bottom of the first on an RBI double by Eli Nymeyer. The Warhawks wouldn’t score again until the final two innings, as they plated one run in both the sixth and seventh to make the final 6-1.
