Trojans still searching for first win of season
Anyone who thinks Turkey Valley's volleyball girls aren't giving a full effort just needed to look at Ashton Kout's leg during a 3-0 loss to North Fayette Valley Thursday. Earlier in the week, during a practice, the senior ran into one of the standards and placed a couple big welts on her thigh. It looked painful, but Kout had her best serving of the season as she fired a pair of aces while going 12-for-12 at the line. “As of right now, Ashton is the most consistent server on our team, we put a good amount of time into serving and many of the girls are making strides,” said coach Ethan Adams. As a team, the Trojans were 36-for-44, for a .818 percentage. “We serve every day, and I encourage aggressive serving,” noted the coach. “That being said, we made some errors in serving on serves that were not aggressive, those alone concern me.”
