Trojans snap skid with victory over South Winn

The Turkey Valley boys basketball team entered this year with their mind set on winning their third consecutive Upper Iowa Conference championship. 
However, after a loss to MFL MarMac two weeks ago, they needed a victory over South Winneshiek - who entered the game with a 5-0 record in conference play - on Friday to stay near the top of the UIC standings.
It didn’t come easy, but a stingy defensive effort in the second and third quarters paved the way for the Trojans to claim the victory 47-35.
