Trojan boys run to three wins in opener

Turkey Valley’s Eli Nymeyer had just anchored the Trojan distance medley to a win.
“I think we could go faster,” he said after catching his breath. “I’d rather have someone to go up against that pushes me.”
After all, the Trojans finished over 13 seconds ahead of the second-place squad from Clayton Ridge, after Nymeyer passed the leader early in his final leg. 
The distance medley was one of three wins the Turkey Valley boys had in the North Fayette Valley meet held Thursday, with Elliott Dietzenbach winning the open 800 and Ethan Leibold the discus. Of the seven teams at the early bird meet, the Trojans were fourth.
