TRIBE Trail scores another grant

TRIBE Trail committee members received fantastic news this past week - they received a grant in the amount of $10,000! This grant comes from the Wellmark Foundation and TRIBE Trail committee member Megan Baltes said combining this grant and the Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) program grant of $75,000, the first part of the trail is paid for. “We have officially started our fundraising efforts,” said Baltes. Letters and postcards will be going out asking for donations for the community trail and this year the Cowboy Poetry event will donate its proceeds towards the trail.This year Cowboy Poetry, held on Jan. 27-28, will bring Jacob Riley, Brooke Turner and Greg Hager to Lawler with cowboy poetry, stories and music entertainment done throughout the night.For the complete story see the 11/22/2016 New Hampton Tribune.
