Shopping at home

Not everyone headed off to the big-city malls and stores late Thanksgiving Day and on Black Friday; in fact, quite a few of us stayed home.“I think it’s always a good sign when it’s tough to find a parking spot both downtown and out west,” New Horizons-Chamber Director Jason Speltz said, “and I think for the most part our retailers had a good Black Friday.”In New Hampton, Black Friday actually started on Thursday as Shopko opened its doors — to a line of shoppers no less — at 4 p.m., and the store’s parking lot remained full for much of the evening.For the complete story see the 11/29/2016 New Hampton Tribune.
