Road woes continue for Huskies
Nashua-Plainfield’s road woes continued on the golf course last week before the Huskies got a lengthy break from meets thanks to Mother Nature. The girls had claimed three straight meet titles at home heading into last Tuesday’s triangular at Charles City’s Cedar Ridge Golf Course, where the winning streak ended by a mere one shot. The host Comets shot a 213 while Nashua-Plainfield finished with a 214 in what was essentially a two-team race as Osage finished with a 235. “We just don’t play with a lot of confidence when we’re not at home,” Nashua-Plainfield coach Jeff Trost said.
