A record-breaking Saturday
Going into the final hole at Nashua, Allison Nuss knew what her score was.“I always know where I am, which can be a good thing or a bad thing,” said the sophomore Saturday, after setting a new school record with a 37.“I knew what I needed to have to set the record, but I was trying to not get ahead of myself.”With an even par on the final hole, Nuss broke a record that had stood since the early 80s.“I was happy, obviously, but at that time nobody else was in yet and I was more looking forward to seeing what our team score was going to be, since we had some golfers gone for prom.”With two sophomores — Allison and Morgan Nuss — and four freshmen playing, the Chickasaw girls won the three-team invite with a 181, over Nashua-Plainfield (209) and Don Bosco (223).
