New Hampton defense shines in NEIC victory
Conner Rochford was, in a word, frustrated when 2019 ended.
The New Hampton junior absolutely, positively knew he was a better basketball player than he had shown before Christmas, when he shot a mere 15.6 percent of his shots from the field and averaged 2.8 points a game.
“I guess the big thing is I kept working on it, believing in myself and knew it had to get better,” he said and then added with a quick smile, “because it couldn’t get much worse.”
