New Hampton boys are conference champions

After capturing the girls Northeast Iowa Conference title last week, New Hampton became the winner of the NEIC boys championship in a meet held at the New Hampton Golf and Country Club Monday.   The Chickasaw boys scored a 309 and won by 21 strokes over Charles City as Ryan Anderson was the meet medalist with a 74 and Carter Stochl was the runner-up at 75.   Five New Hampton boys finished in the top 15 to earn all-conference honors. Trailing Anderson and Stochl, Keegan Tenge and Aden Zwanziger were tied for fourth and Wyatt Stochl was 13th. Eric Shatek fell short of all-conference honors with an 89.  The boys will play in a district meet Friday at Dike. For more on the NEIC meet, please see the May 19 Tribune.
