Knocking at the door

For the third time in the last four years, the Chickasaw baseball team is advancing to the substate game.
New Hampton defeated Osage by a score of 7-2 on Saturday night at Mikkelson Park to claim the Class 2A District 3 championship.
“I thought it was a well-played baseball game. Records don’t matter at this point in the year. Every team is going to come to play,” Max Babcock said. “They have seniors that don’t want to stop playing, so it was a hard fought win, and we found a way to do it.”
