Judge: Board won’t be fined for violations

A Chickasaw County district court judge has found that the New Hampton School Board did violate the state’s open meeting law last year when it went into a closed session to discuss the suspension of a student.But Judge John J. Bauercamper did not fine individual board members and instead ruled that the school district must pay attorney fees and court costs in the matter.For the complete story see the 11/25/2016 New Hampton Tribune.
