Huskies rebound for win over N-K

Lead Summary

Nashua-Plainfield coach Sam Brown isn’t going to lie; he wasn’t exactly ecstatic about his team’s shot selection on Friday night.
But he loved the way his team crashed the boards and that extra effort helped the Huskies snap a two-game losing streak with a 52-25 victory over Northwood-Kensett.
“We did shoot really poor shots on Friday which translated to a poor shooting night percentage-wise,” Brown said after his team improved to 6-6 overall and 4-6 in the Top of Iowa East Division, “but we had guys that were willing to go up and get rebounds.  Levi Lindner led the way getting those boards.  That guy can jump right out of the gym, and he's got a nice pace going now but we want him to grab even more boards as we get prepared for year's end.”
The Huskies led only 11-9 after the first quarter and pushed the advantage to 33-14 at halftime.
For the game, though, the Huskies hit just 19 of 53 shots (35.8 percent) from the field, but they grabbed 14 offensive rebounds, including four by Lindner.
