Huskies get clean slate on Monday
The softball postseason begins on Monday, and the timing couldn’t be better for Nashua-Plainfield softball team. After all, the old axiom that all teams are 0-0 when the playoffs start has to be a good thing because it’s been a rough regular season for coach Dani DeMuth’s Huskies.Nashua-Plainfield fell 11-1 to Saint Ansgar last Wednesday and 12-0 to North Butler on Monday to drop to 0-18 in 2017.“We’re a very young and inexperienced team,” coach Dani DeMuth said earlier this season, “and we just have to stick together. I know it’s hard not to be winning but we’re making progress.”And one could see that progress last week in St. Ansgar, where the Huskies had a solid night offensively.
